Washington City is seeking Police Officer I, II, or III to patrol city streets, respond to incidents, and uphold public safety. You will conduct investigations, take statements, and prepare court-ready reports while engaging with the community.

Preferred POST or equivalent training with a Utah driver’s license, firearm proficiency, and ongoing mandatory training. The role emphasizes teamwork, physical readiness, and strong communication under supervision.

Qualificações

• Graduation from high school; POST is preferred, but not required.
• No experience necessary.
• P.O.S.T. certifiable as LEO peace officer preferred. Must possess a valid Utah State Driver's License and maintain firearm proficiency; complete annual training (40 hrs).

Responsabilidades

• Patrols all areas of Washington City in police vehicles, checking doors and building security.
• Responds to calls for assistance; secures crime scenes and conducts preliminary investigations.
• Makes arrests and submits required reports; directs traffic and issues citations.
• Serves processes and subpoenas; escorts prisoners; tests and maintains equipment.
• Completes comprehensive daily activity reports and testifies in court when required.
• Performs public relations to enhance department image; carries out related duties.
