Job summary

Cedar City Corporation is seeking certified law enforcement officers for multiple duty opportunities within the Cedar City area. This position is open until filled and applicants will be considered upon receipt of their applications.

Under general supervision, officers enforce federal, state and local laws to preserve the peace and protect rights and property. Starting wages are posted and eligible for experience credit; health and other benefits are provided by the city.

Qualifications

Must be a United States Citizen or a legal permanent resident continuously for the past five years.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
Must possess a valid Utah Driver License.
Must have no felony or domestic violence convictions.
Must pass and maintain department physical fitness standards.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

The starting wage with no experience is $29.14/hour or $60,617/annually. We give wage credit for experience up to ten years. The City participates in the Utah Retirement System and currently provides health, dental, vision and life insurance.
