Job summary

Woods Cross City is seeking motivated individuals to join our Police Department as full-time Police Officers. This role encompasses entry-level duties aimed at protecting life and property, enforcing laws, and serving the community with integrity.

The ideal candidates will patrol assigned areas, enforce state and federal laws, respond to emergency calls, and maintain visibility within the community while supporting its members. Successful candidates will need to hold a valid driver's license and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Utah POST SFO/LEO certification or ability to successfully complete it upon hire.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old.
• Valid Utah driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure public safety.
• Enforce laws and investigate criminal activity.
• Respond to calls for service and provide first responder aid.
• Prepare accurate reports and provide courtroom testimony.
• Maintain community visibility and conduct outreach.
• Operate police vehicles and specialized equipment safely.
• Serve warrants and other legal processes.
