  • Current CPR, first aid, and AED certification, or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Lakeside School—an independent day school serving grades 5 through 12 in North Seattle—seeks a dedicated and proactive Community Safety Coordinator to help foster a secure, welcoming, and prepared campus environment.     As the Community Safety Coordinator, you will be instrumental in planning and supporting safety and emergency preparedness efforts across all three Lakeside campuses: two in North Seattle and The Downtown School located at Seattle Center. You will serve as a key resource during the school day and after-hours events, ensuring that safety is both felt and functional throughout our community. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in safety and security operations, along with strong computer and technology skills to support digital tools, security systems, and communication platforms essential to the role.

    This full-time, extended school-year, non-exempt position reports directly to the Director of Community Safety.The position also requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend hours based on campus safety needs.

  • Salary and Benefits
    The annual salary range is $55,125-$63,000, which is based on a $35-$40 hourly range.Pay is based on several factorsand may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The schedule typically runs from early August through late June or early July (approximately 42 weeks), aligning with the traditional academic calendar and is subject to occasional changes.

    All school breaks—including winter, mid-winter, spring break, and Thanksgiving week—are designated non-working days. The schedule includes holidays and a portion of the summer off, providing a substantial annual break.
