Job summary

UNITED WAY OF GREATER HOUSTON is looking for a full-time or part-time position to handle incoming 211 Texas Helpline communications. You will assess client needs and provide appropriate referrals to social services, while ensuring up-to-date records of interactions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in social service with an associate degree or better.
• Experience in call center or social service delivery.
• Preferred: Certified Resource Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming calls/emails/texts/chats, assesses needs, makes appropriate referrals.
• Stays informed on social issues and performs community outreach.
• Participates in task forces and performs other assigned duties.
