Job summary

United Way for Greater Austin is seeking a Part-Time 211 Navigation Specialist to deliver accessible information, referral services, and support to communities in Texas. You will respond to calls, assess needs, and log resources while maintaining data quality in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation.

The role requires at least one year in social services, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Bilingual Spanish is preferred to serve diverse populations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of social services experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle 60–80 calls/day.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Experience with Information and Referral and CIRS certification a plus.
• Required to work different shifts or rotate shifts with assigned schedule window to accommodate operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and referrals to community resources.
• Serve as the primary information and referral specialist for callers in Texas.
• Collect demographic data and log resources accurately.
