Job summary

Goddard Riverside Community Center in New York, NY seeks a Community Resource Coordinator to lead daily program operations and policy development in partnership with the Aging Services Program Director. The role focuses on food security, housing security, socialization, and health access for the Isaacs Center community.

You will oversee pantry operations, coordinate outreach, supervise staff, and support data reporting and contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • CPR and AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain both.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese is a plus.

Isaacs- Youth Center - New York, NY, Education Level: High School Diploma/ GED, Salary Range: $45940.00 - $57425.00Salary/year, Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. Position Summary

The Community Resource Coordinator will provide operational and administrative leadership in partnership with the Aging Services Program Director. This position will manage daily program operations, develop program policy/procedure and conduct program assessment and evaluation. In addition, the Community Resource Coordinator will assist with community outreach and engagement activities meant to promote food security, housing security, socialization, financial security, and health access. The Community Resource Coordinator will work on a team to facilitate community needs assessment, food pantry distribution, outreach and wellness checks, and other program activities and initiatives.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 35 hours per week

Salary Range

$45,940 to $57,425

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
  • Develop and maintain systems to track purchases, deliveries, and inventory management and control.
  • Provide administrative support and leadership to staff, and widespread support of client needs, ensuring that daily program operations are well-managed.
  • Provide effective task and process supervision to direct reports.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, implementing, managing, and evaluating current programs, projects, dedicated events, and outreach.
  • Finance/Budgeting: Manage and update program budgets to ensure that the program is operating within budget parameters and able to meet targeted goals.
  • Suggest mechanisms including surveys, and other ways for communicating with, and receiving feedback from the membership and community.
  • Identify, cultivate, and strengthen existing and new relationships with members and community participants through constant communication and interaction.
  • Recommend and/or execute systems for the internal and external evaluation of programs and initiatives.
  • Effectively respond to program related inquiries from the members, staff, and the community.
  • Perform data entry to support the flow of data and statistics for internal reporting and contract requirements.
  • Oversee food pantry programs between Isaacs and Goddard Riverside Community Center
  • Manage online ordering system for food pantries
  • Coordinate equitable registration process for accessing pantry
  • Supervise team of Part time and Full-time workers. Assist with packaging and distribution of pantry items
  • Support Aging Services program needs such as telephone reassurance, shopping assistance, and more.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma requires: Associate degree preferred and 2 years of relevant experience
  • CPR certified and AED/first Aid Certified or be willing to attend both trainings
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese is a plus.
  • Required to work the occasional evening and weekends as per program need.
  • Required to work on either Thanksgiving or Christmas
Education/Skills/Experience
  • Experience and success working in partnership with an aging community, residents, and community organizations.
  • Success at managing a wide array of tasks and projects and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience with and interest in working with community members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work select weekends and to occasionally adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the role and programming.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
