The Community Relations Coordinator utilizes their administrative and creative skills to assist with fundraising, marketing, and communications tasks in the Development and Marketing department at the Center for Family Justice. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, maintaining a donor and volunteer database, serving as the point of contact for organizational communications with press and media relations, and informing and communicating with the CEO/President and Chief Development Officer on priority information. The role involves utilizing marketing tools, building relationships, and providing collaborative support to facilitate development work. Key duties include writing press releases, co-leading legislative initiatives, acting as a liaison for state coalitions on legislative priorities, providing requested testimony, and engaging in outreach to key stakeholders. The coordinator will attend volunteer fairs, recruit, train, and oversee volunteer initiatives, handle volunteer reporting, and manage all volunteer-related communications. They will also set up tours, meet and greet potential volunteers. Qualifications include a minimum of 3-5 years of experience; a degree is preferred but not required. Relevant work experience in events, marketing, and/or public relations is necessary. The role supports all organizational events and initiatives, attends staff meetings, and requires the ability to multi-task and work with a diverse population. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including newsletter creation and marketing material development. The position offers an exempt salary and benefits, ranging from $58,500 to $60,000.
