Job summary

Royal Credit Union is seeking a Community Relations Intern in Eau Claire, WI, to assist the Program Director of Community Relations and team members with planning, coordination, and execution of community events. The role supports brand awareness, represents Royal in local communities, and helps create media pitches, press releases, blogs, and social content.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at a University or Technical College pursuing PR/communications/marketing.
• Bondable; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Represent Royal Credit Union professionally at community events, including expos and open houses.
• Assist with planning and executing events and programs, providing feedback on alignment with Royal’s mission.
• Create and distribute media content such as press releases, blogs, and social media posts to highlight Royal’s community impact.
• Support internal programs like the Volunteer and Kid’s Club, and collaborate with Marketing on promotional materials.
• Help with administrative tasks, suggest process improvements, and support other teams like Financial Education and Grants.
