Job summary

Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a College Community Relations Intern to help plan events, create content, and represent Royal in local communities. You will gain hands-on experience while making a real impact.

You will work with the Program Director of Community Relations and other Community Engagement team members, handling media pitches, press releases, blogs and social media content. The internship runs May 2027–May 2028.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship.
• Pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or similar field.
• Must be bondable with a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Represent Royal Credit Union professionally at community events and open houses.
• Assist with planning and executing events and programs, providing feedback on alignment with Royal’s mission.
• Create and distribute media content such as press releases, blogs, and social media posts highlighting Royal’s community impact.
• Support internal programs like the Volunteer and Kids’ Club and collaborate with Marketing on promotional materials.
• Help with administrative tasks and suggest process improvements.
