You’ll coordinate educational programs like the Virtual Dementia Tour and RN Educational Series, while traveling throughout the Twin Cities area to establish strong community connections and growth targets.
Job Type: Full-Time | Outside Sales & Healthcare Business Development
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives and commission
Are you a relationship builder who enjoys connecting with healthcare professionals, developing new business, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults?
Do you have a background in nursing, social work, therapy, healthcare, or outside sales? Are you someone who enjoys getting out into the community, opening doors, building trust, and turning professional relationships into business opportunities?
If so, we'd love to meet you!
Senior Helpers is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and results-driven Community Relations & Business Development Manager to help grow our presence throughout the Twin Cities.
We're looking for more than a salesperson. We want someone who understands the importance of building genuine relationships, providing value to referral partners, and helping families find the right care for their loved ones.
This is an active, outside business development position—not a desk job where you wait for referrals to come to you.
Senior Helpers is a nationally recognized leader in professional in-home senior care, dedicated to helping older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.
Our locally owned and operated Twin Cities offices provide personalized home care services, including companionship, personal care, specialized dementia and Parkinson's care, and support for individuals transitioning home from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare settings.
We're a growing organization with a strong commitment to exceptional care, specialized caregiver training, and developing meaningful relationships throughout the healthcare community.
We believe the strongest referral partnerships are built on trust, education, responsiveness, and a genuine desire to help the individuals and families we serve.
At Senior Helpers, you'll have more than a brochure and a business card.
We offer a variety of specialized programs, educational resources, and flexible care solutions that give our business development team meaningful opportunities to engage healthcare professionals and provide value to our referral partners.
These include:
Second Wind Dreams Virtual Dementia Tour® - Only one in the area (last we were told!)
Our Center of Excellence, aka AuntMilly's Place, incorporates the Second Wind Dreams Virtual Dementia Tour as part of our specialized dementia training and community education efforts. This immersive experience helps participants better understand some of the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia.
You'll have the opportunity to introduce this unique educational resource to healthcare professionals, senior living communities, and referral partners, creating meaningful conversations about dementia care and the importance of specialized caregiver training.
RN Educational Series
Our nursing team provides educational presentations (UTI, Preventing Falls, etc.) on important topics affecting older adults, their families, and the professionals who care for them. You'll help coordinate these educational opportunities with healthcare organizations, senior living communities, and other referral partners.
FlexHome – Flexible In-Home Care Solutions
Our FlexHome program provides flexible care options for individuals who need shorter visits or targeted assistance rather than traditional, extended home care shifts. This gives our referral partners additional options when helping families find the right level of support at home.
Specialized Care Programs & Community Resources
From dementia and Parkinson's care to personalized assistance with daily activities, we offer a variety of programs designed to meet the changing needs of older adults and their families.
These resources allow you to do more than simply ask for referrals. They give you opportunities to educate, engage, build trust, and become a valued resource within the healthcare community.
We are VA approved so we also are able to service Veterans who live in our area!
As our Community Relations & Business Development Manager, you'll be the face of Senior Helpers throughout the Twin Cities healthcare and senior services community.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and strengthen referral relationships that generate new client opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of our organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Our ideal candidate is a motivated, personable professional who enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and creating opportunities.
We are particularly interested in candidates who combine a healthcare background with demonstrated sales, outreach, or business development experience.
You may be an excellent fit if you have experience as a:
Healthcare experience is highly desirable, but we will also consider exceptional outside sales professionals who demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for serving older adults.
We believe talented professionals deserve competitive compensation, meaningful benefits, and the opportunity to be rewarded for their success.
Our compensation package includes:
We want someone who takes ownership of their territory and enjoys the process of building a business.
Success in this role means developing a strong network of referral partners who know you, trust you, and think of Senior Helpers when someone needs care.
It means consistently creating new opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing referral sources, and helping turn those opportunities into new clients.
You’ll work closely with our leadership and care teams to ensure families receive timely, professional service from their first conversation through the start of care.
We value initiative, creativity, accountability, and results—but we also believe that the way you build relationships matters just as much as the business those relationships generate.
At Senior Helpers, you won't simply be selling a service. You’ll be helping families navigate some of the most important and challenging decisions they will ever face.
You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with healthcare professionals, educate the community, and connect older adults with services that can improve their quality of life.
You’ll also be joining a locally owned, growing organization that invests in its people, values new ideas, and is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve.
If you’re looking for a position where your relationships, initiative, and results truly matter, we’d love to hear from you.
