Job summary

Fortune Society is looking for a Community Engagement Specialist for their Supervised Release Program in Bronx, NY. You will be responsible for engaging participants needing extra support, understanding their barriers, and connecting them to resources while embodying Fortune's mission of re-entry. Innovative engagement strategies, effective communication, and social service navigation are key.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, be able to multitask under pressure, and communicate effectively within diverse communities. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Preferably fully certified Peer Specialist or willing to train as one.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants needing additional supports.
• Coordinate with court advocates and supervisors.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and skills development sessions.
• Complete documentation and input data promptly.
