Job summary

Navy Region Hawaii Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a customer-focused Recreation Program Assistant to support its Community Recreation services at Sharkey Theater, JBPHH, Honolulu, HI. The role involves handling registrations, payments, inventory, and event-related tasks to enhance MWR offerings.

Candidates should have an Associates Degree in Recreation or related field and/or two years of recreation experience, plus strong communication skills and the ability to work varied hours,

Qualifications

Requires knowledge gained through education and training in recreation or closely related field and/or two years equivalent recreation work experience.
Ability to organize, plan and administer events and programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service, information and support for Community Recreation programs and activities.
Process registrations and collect fees using POS systems and computer programs.
Maintain inventory, perform daily DAR reports and ensure proper checkout procedures.
Assist with event planning, scheduling, outreach and promotion of MWR programs.
