Job summary

Charlotte County is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to lead the planning and delivery of engaging programs, community events, and recreational activities at one of our facilities. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and oversee operations while delivering exceptional customer service to residents and visitors.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration across departments, and the development of innovative recreation opportunities that strengthen the community and extend public programs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, or Leisure Services.
• Five years of experience in recreation programming with lead/supervisory experience.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license; knowledge of office software and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of engaging programs, community events, and recreational activities.
• Oversee facility operations, supervise and mentor staff, manage budgets and projects, and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Develop community partnerships, promote programs through outreach, and create innovative recreational opportunities.
• Support cross-department collaboration and build positive relationships with residents and visitors.
