Job summary

The Macon-Bibb County Consolidated Government is seeking a Community Center Coordinator II to assist in supervising and conducting leisure activities at the assigned recreation center and park. The role involves planning, organizing, directing participants, scheduling facility use, and maintaining records of equipment use.

The position requires coordinating programs, leading classes such as Zumba or fitness, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Valid Georgia driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or related field.
• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of full-time parks/recreational experience.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and supervising leisure activities at an assigned park.
• Assist in supervising facility use and coordinating with staff.
• Supervise paid and non-paid personnel as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
• Assist with collecting fees and charges.
• Oversee maintenance of the assigned park and facilities.
• Lead recreation classes or activities as assigned (e.g., Zumba, basketball, fitness).
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and daily operations run smoothly.
