The Recreation Supervisor oversees planning, promotion, staffing, and evaluation of varied recreation programs for an assigned facility. A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field plus three years of experience are required, supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field required.
• Three years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of recreation administration and facility operations.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to build community recreational programs.
• Proficiency with office software and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify needs and feasibility for a wide variety of recreation programs.
• Maintain and coordinate maintenance for facility assets.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, training, appraisals, and yearly plans.
• Create partnerships with other organizations for joint programming.
• Establish program standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage use of County facilities and grounds.
• Oversee cash handling, billing, and budget
• Represent the Section at community meetings.
