Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to lead the planning, promotion, staffing, implementation, and evaluation of a variety of recreation, sport, leisure-time, and community events for an assigned facility.

A Bachelor's degree in Recreation and 3 years of related experience are required; supervisory experience is preferred. The role includes weekend/holiday work, community engagement, and partnership development to serve residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field with 3 years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage budgets and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Identifies the need and feasibility for recreation, sports, and leisure-time programs.
• Coordinates maintenance and repairs for the assigned facility.
• Supervises staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, and discipline.
• Creates partnerships with organizations for joint programming.
• Establishes program standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manages use of county facilities and grounds.
• Oversees cash handling, billing, and budget review.
• Represents the section at community meetings.
