Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking a recreation supervisor to oversee a range of community programs, events, and staffing at an assigned facility. You will plan, promote, staff, implement, and evaluate programs in alignment with county goals and community needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and at least three years of related experience, with preferred supervisory experience. Expect evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field and 3 years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of recreation program standards and budgeting is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess feasible recreation, sports, and leisure programs.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and asset management.
• Supervise staff including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Build partnerships with community organizations for joint programming.
• Manage budgets, cash handling, and billing for programs.
• Represent the County at community meetings and events.
