Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking a Recreation Program Supervisor to oversee planning, promotion, staffing, implementation, and evaluation of diverse recreation and leisure-time events at an assigned facility.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field and at least three years of experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Frequent nights, weekends, and holidays are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation or related field plus three years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies the need and feasibility for a wide variety of recreation, sports, and leisure-time programs.
• Maintains fixed and controlled assets; coordinates maintenance and repairs for assigned facility.
• Supervises staff including hiring, orienting, training, assigning and reviewing work performance, and annual appraisals.
• Creates partnerships with other organizations to utilize joint programming opportunities.
• Establishes program standards, policies, and procedures for recreation and sports.
• Manages usage of County and non-County facilities and grounds.
• Manages cash handling, billing, and budget review for the division.
• Represents the Section in the community by attending community meetings.
