Job summary

Macon-Bibb County seeks a Community Center Coordinator I to assist with supervising and conducting leisure activities at assigned community recreation centers. The role includes coordinating center use, leading activities for all ages, and reporting on records and fees.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a Bachelor's in Parks and Recreation and 2+ years of relevant experience. A Georgia driver’s license is required. May require extended hours during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation is preferred.
• At least two years of full-time experience in parks/recreational programming or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting and supervising parks/recreational activities including sports, tournaments, leisure games, and cultural arts.
• Assist in supervising, scheduling, and coordinating the use of community centers, parks, and facilities.
• Lead and organize activities for all ages; supervise volunteers and assigned personnel.
• Assist in safety, maintenance, and reporting/record keeping of fees and equipment.
