Job summary

City of Bozeman is seeking a Recreation Leader (full-time, 30 hrs/week) to plan, coordinate, and implement engaging programs for people of all ages and abilities. You’ll work with participants and families, support instructors, and help ensure safety and inclusivity across activities.

Initial training will include daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts; after training, schedules may vary by programming needs. Benefit-rich role in a vibrant community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months experience in leading recreational activities or in child development.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training accepted.
• Knowledge of child development or behavior is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes, and leads a wide variety of recreational activities for all ages.
• Interacts with parents, participants, the public and City staff.
• Collects fees for open gym sessions.
• Maintains inventory and attendance records; ensures safety and cleanliness of facilities.
• Enforces rules and manages behavior; provides guidance to participants.
• Administers first aid, CPR, and AED as needed.
• Plans, implements, evaluates, and promotes recreation programs.
