Job summary

NAVBASE Point Loma’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Community Recreation program seeks an enthusiastic team member to support a broad range of leisure activities on base.

You will assist with events, information resources, and fleet-related activities, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality patron service. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or recreation activity-based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR mission and scope of Community Recreation activities.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain records and compile data for reports.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of computers, office procedures and print production.

Responsibilities

• Support MWR Community Recreation program with events and entertainment activities.
• Assist with information/resources, trips, tours, and outings for patrons.
• Coordinate recreation programs for visiting ships, commands, and fleet events.
• Manage rental equipment, tickets, reservations, and program logistics.
• Support bowling, library, grab-n-go, movies and outdoor recreation offerings.
