Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command in Fallon, NV seeks a Recreation support specialist to assist the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program. You will help with events, information resources, and community activities, including visits by ships, trips, tours, outings, and rental equipment.

This role requires strong customer service, event planning, and the ability to work independently. You will maintain records, compile data for reports, and assist with office procedures to support Navy MWR

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or recreation activity-based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, and administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing leisure time activities.
• Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and the scope of Community Recreation activities.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain records and compile data for reports, and perform research on recreation topics.

• Support the MWR Community Recreation program with events and resources.
• Coordinate visits by ships or fleet support and community events.
• Manage rental equipment, tickets, and green space operations.
