Job summary

The City of Monroe is seeking a Pool Assistant Manager to support the Pool Manager in operating the aquatic facility. Focus on overseeing the concession stand and staff, plus supervising high school-aged employees.

Lifeguard training is provided, with the goal of certification by summer start, and Lifeguard Instructor certification when feasible. Responsibilities include concessions, staff leadership, pool operations, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising high school-aged youth preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.
• Organized, dependable, and able to take initiative.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Lifeguard certification provided; ability to obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification when feasible.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily concession stand operations and supervise concession staff.
• Train, coach, and develop high school-aged employees; schedule coverage.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, receipt, stocking, and waste reduction.
• Support pool operations, safety procedures, and incident reporting.
