Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. is seeking a Community Recovery Specialist to provide daily support in a 10-bed long-term psychiatric unit in Quakertown, PA.

The role operates 7am-3pm as a full-time position, focusing on skill-building, transportation, and community integration for residents. The CRS will implement Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles, document group and individual activities, and participate in team supervision and meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Criminal background clearances as dictated by programs.
• Minimum of three years' experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health or IDD.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for residents in a 10-bed long term structured psychiatric unit.
• Assist residents with skill-building for independent living, employment, education, money management, and social skills.
• Coordinate appointments and transportation to medical appointments.
• Apply Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles, including phase system, service planning, and goal planning.
• Attend weekly team meetings and monthly staff meetings; participate in supervision with site lead.
• Ensure compliance with programmatic and corporate procedures for residents and staff.
• Maintain professional conduct, compassion, and fairness at all times.

Community Recovery Specialist - Behavioral Health

Full Time: 7am-3pm

Description

CRS is primarily responsible for providing daily support for residents in a 10 bed long term structured psychiatric unit. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.

• Assisting residents in skill building with a focus on independent living; employment, education, money management, medication management, transportation, meal preparation, shopping for household goods, site cleanliness, housing searches, roommate matching and social skills development.
• Assisting residents with appointments and transporting them to medical appointments.
• Focusing on Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles while implementing the phase system, service planning, skill building, goal planning and community integration.
• Completion of documentation required for groups and individual outings.
• Attending weekly team meetings, engaging in supervision with site lead (minimum once a month), attending monthly all staff meetings.
• Ensuring compliance with all programmatic and corporate procedures and protocols as they apply to staff, residents, and the program.
• Conducting oneself in a manner that exemplifies professionalism, fairness and compassion at all times.
• CRS should have a minimum of a high school diploma. Preferred experience in health care/mental health care industry.
• All other duties as directed.
