Job summary

BTST Services LLC in Maryland is seeking a PRP Direct Care Staff/Counselor to assess client needs and provide supported living services, counseling, skills development, and crisis intervention in community, home, and office settings.

The role focuses on individualized care based on client assessments, with CAREER PATH opportunities in the social and human services field and a CARF-accredited licensed agency supporting youth and adults.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy.
• A passion for making an impact on the lives of those who need it.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of cultural diversity and the special needs population.
• A degree in a health related field OR 30 hours toward a health related field.
• One year of work direct care experience in a supervised mental health setting AND responsible for implementing activities outlined in minor IRPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a minimum of 4-6 direct service sessions, per client, per month as planned for by the rehabilitation team.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan (IRP) with the client every 3-6 months.
• Help clients resolve problems, identify resources and make effective use of resources.
• Teach clients independence and self-advocacy.
• Perform crisis intervention and assistance as necessary.
• Maintain client’s charts and documentation of all services in a manner consistent with agency policies and COMAR regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
