General Description of Duties
Accountable for providing basic security services designed to ensure the control and safety of clients, employees and the visiting public. Schedule: Every other Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 pm – 12:00 am.
Education: High school or equivalent GED
Minimum Years of Experience: 1–3 years’ experience as a security guard
Demonstrated Skills: Alertness, honesty, good communication skills, ability to serve clients’ needs, leadership and teamwork. Candidates must be in good health with the physical fitness to perform the duties of the position; must have and retain sufficient physical strength.
Knowledge: Securing premises, patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points and permitting entry
Bilingual: Preferred language Spanish
Physical Ability: Tasks involve heavy physical effort with emphasis on climbing and balancing; includes stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling of moderately heavy objects (20–50 pounds), occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive odors and depths; most tasks require visual perception and discrimination.
Environmental Factors: Tasks are performed with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
