West River Valley Thrives (WRVT) seeks a part-time Community Programs Coordinator to expand prevention programming, strengthen partnerships, engage youth and families, and support community events across the West River Valley. This hybrid role combines remote administration with regular in-person programming in local communities.

Qualifikationen

• Enjoys working with youth, families, and community members.
• Is comfortable facilitating groups and presenting information to youth and adults.
• Has strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Is creative, dependable, flexible, and able to take initiative.
• Can manage multiple projects and follow through on responsibilities.
• Is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
• Is willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for community events.
• Has reliable transportation for travel throughout the West River Valley.
• Experience in education, youth development, prevention, public health, community outreach, social services, recreation, or nonprofit work is preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• In collaboration with the WRVT team, build and maintain relationships with local libraries, schools, recreation programs, community organizations, businesses, and other partners.
• Identify opportunities to bring prevention, wellness, and positive youth development programming into community spaces.
• Collaborate with community partners to develop activities and programs that respond to local needs.
• In collaboration with the WRVT Communications team, help increase WRVT's visibility and presence throughout the communities we serve.
• Represent WRVT at community meetings, programs, outreach activities, and events as needed.
