Job summary

The City of San Antonio is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in coordinating and reviewing community service programs within a public health environment. The role may involve supervising staff and liaising with local agencies to ensure high-quality services.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant social service experience, plus a Texas Driver’s License. Bilingual skills and phlebotomy training are preferred but not required.

• Ability to train and counsel subordinate staff.
• Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between local agencies concerned with the functions and operations of the program.
• Interprets program guidelines, and policies and procedures for operating agencies.
• May conduct periodic visits to outside agencies and department programs and prepares reports of observations on the quality of services and program management.
• Receives, reviews, coordinates, and replies to correspondence submitted by operating agencies.
• Participates with agencies and department programs in recognizing operational problems; assists in making adjustments; promotes program innovation.
• May assign, evaluate, and monitor completion of tasks.
• Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
