Responsibilities

  • Overseeing community pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements
  • Completing patient assessments, refill coordination, prior authorizations, financial assistance and supporting day-to-day pharmacy workflow functions
  • Cross-training pharmacists and technicians across community pharmacy workflows
  • Conducting competency assessments and ensuring timely completion of all trainings and required certifications
  • Collaborating with UC system partners, pharmacy leadership, and internal departments to enhance and expand community pharmacy services
  • Supporting operational performance improvement
  • Supervising staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, compliance, and adherence to departmental expectations
  • Participating in departmental meetings and serving as Administrator-On-Call as needed

Reporting to the Director of Community Pharmacy, you will supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, maintain efficient workflows, support the community pharmacy strategies, and participate directly in operational activities, including clinical workflows, prior authorization, financial assistance and refill coordination. You will cross-train staff, assess competencies, respond to audits, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support expansion of UCLA Health’s community pharmacy programs.

Activities will include:
