Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and current NYS Pharmacist license required.
• Experience in a community pharmacy setting preferred.
• Typing and counting accuracy with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fills patient prescriptions and answers provider questions.
• Provides counseling on prescription and over-the-counter medications per APhA guidelines.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers.
• Assists in medication ordering and inventory control in the pharmacy.
• Assists in procurement, storage and accounting of pharmaceuticals.
• Conducts drug utilization reviews as needed.
• Troubleshoots third-party discrepancies and other prescription issues.
