Job summary

Baptist Health Paducah is seeking a Community Staff Pharmacist to support the Community Pharmacy team, oversee operations, and foster staff development. The role emphasizes direct patient care, drug regimen review, counseling, adherence monitoring, discharge reconciliation, dispensing, and immunization administration.

The position requires Kentucky licensure, a PharmD, and successful completion of BLS and immunization certifications within six months.

Qualifications

Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
Must obtain Immunization certification within 6 months of hire.
Community Pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
Ensure compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program, accrediting bodies, REMS, third-party payers, and state/federal regulations.
Ensure timely completion of claim and invoice reconciliation as needed.
Maintain controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing in compliance with regulations.
Maintain immunization protocols and ensure staff training including BLS/CPR certification.
Coordinate safe transitions of care from hospital with patients, caregivers, and other providers.
