Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington and Richmond are seeking a Community Staff Pharmacist to support the Community Pharmacy Manager in directing pharmacy staff and services. You will provide direct patient care, ensure dispensing accuracy, immunization administration, and oversee inventory including 340B program integrity.

Responsibilities include staff development, policy compliance, reconciliation, and safe transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must obtain Immunization certification within 6 months.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be available to travel to other community pharmacies within KY (Corbin, Richmond, Lexington and Hamburg).

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
• Support orientation, training, and development of staff.
• Ensure compliance with policies, 340B program, accrediting bodies, REMS, audits, and state/federal regulations.
• Complete claim and invoice reconciliation as needed.
• Control and document controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory, and dispensing.
• Maintain immunization protocols and staff certification training (BLS).
• Ensure proper storage and security of medications.
• Monitor drug shortages and minimize therapy delays.
• Contribute to strategies to reduce medication errors and improve safety.
• Report adverse events and medication errors.
• Coordinate safe transitions of care from hospital to patients and partners.
