Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable laws and modern law enforcement procedures.
• Ability to read and write English; perform physically demanding work.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Patrol City streets, parks and neighborhoods to preserve peace and enforce laws.
• Respond to emergencies, investigate accidents, robberies and disturbances.
• Conduct traffic control and enforce traffic regulations.
• Interrogate suspects, interview witnesses, gather evidence and file reports.
• Prepare cases for court and testify as needed.
• Coordinate with other agencies and departments as required.
