Job summary

City of Imperial seeks a dedicated police officer to perform patrols, traffic regulation, and enforcement of municipal and state laws. The role includes responding to calls, conducting preliminary investigations, and ensuring public safety.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent GED; one year public contact experience.
• Post academy certification and valid CAL/P.O.S.T. certification is required.
• Valid California driver license with safe driving record; first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols, traffic regulation, and enforcement of laws and regulations.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and citizen complaints; document findings clearly.
• Investigate crimes, interview witnesses, collect evidence, and testify in court.
• Prepare detailed police reports and maintain logs and records.
