University Health is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to bridge community members, volunteers, and UH departments. You will plan and participate in events, deliver health education and wellness programs, and help schedule appointments while promoting UH initiatives.
The role requires strong communication skills, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and a background in outreach. A valid Texas driver’s license and clean MVR are required.
This position serves as the link between community, volunteer network members program coordinators, collaborating organizations and UHdepartments. Coordinates and participates in special community events, education, preventive and wellness programs. Implements health education programs coordinated by the Community Initiatives and Population Health department. Provides information and education to the community at large and participated in public health events and outreach activities. Acts as a liaison between patients and supporting services to provide program information and help schedule appointments. Promotes University Health programs and identifies areas for collaboration.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum two years of college or two years of experience in conducting community-based outreach and education programs preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
A valid Texas State DL operator's license "Class C" and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
