Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health in Manhattan, KS is seeking a creative Marketing and Communications Specialist responsible for graphic design, videography, photography, and digital content. You’ll develop outreach materials and manage social media to raise awareness of Pawnee’s services.

The role emphasizes brand consistency, production of brochures, signage, website graphics, and event support across the 10-county service area.

Qualifications

• High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
• Strong graphic design skills.
• High level of proficiency with videography, including filming and editing.
• Proficiency with photography.
• Ability to communicate information about services in clear, approachable, stigma-free language.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening and/or weekend hours.
• Ability to travel to events and agency locations across the 10-county service area.
• Skills with technology that enable efficient performance of responsibilities, including developing publications and website maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive outreach, communications, and community relations plan that supports the agency's strategy and objectives. (55%)
• Lead content creation for program brochures, rack cards, flyers, mailers, monthly posters, yard signs, advertisements, and other print materials as directed.
• Design and manage implementation of all interior and exterior Pawnee building signage.
• Develop digital and print-ready materials in support of agency events, programs, and projects.
• Create website graphics and help keep website content current.
• Write video scripts, conduct interviews, capture b-roll, and film, edit, and produce videos for a wide variety of platforms.
• Photograph agency programs, offices, and events for use across outreach materials.
• Build and maintain an engaging social media presence. (20%)
• Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia.
• Use social media tools, analytics, and scheduling to increase reach and engagement.
• Stay current on social media trends and best practices and bring them into the agency's strategy.
• Work with community partners to share information about Pawnee's services with new audiences.
• Prepare for and attend community outreach events, including Match Days, resource fairs, and more. (10%)
• Attend events as requested or needed.
• Events may sometimes require work in the evenings and on weekends.
• Foundation Engagement (15%)
• Lead content creation for the Foundation newsletter and annual report.
• Develop digital and print-ready materials, photos, and videos for Foundation events and campaigns.
• Provide planning and execution support for all Foundation events.
