Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Community Outreach Liaison for Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on establishing strong community connections, understanding needs, and promoting available services.

It requires fieldwork across Queenstown and surrounding areas with regular interaction with residents and leaders. The ideal candidate is people-oriented with excellent communication skills and a passion for community service, willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and

Qualifications

Matriculation certificate is essential.
Experience in Community Development, Social Work, or related field advantageous.
Ability to build rapport with diverse community members.
Proactive attitude and commitment to community service.

Responsabilités

Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with target community groups.
Conduct door-to-door visits, community events, and local gatherings to engage residents.
Clearly communicate the organisation's mission, services, and available resources.
Identify and assess community needs, challenges, and preferences.
Build and nurture relationships with community leaders, local organisations, and influential individuals.
Gather feedback from the community and report insights back to the organisation.
Facilitate access to services by providing information and referrals.
Organise and promote community information sessions and workshops.
Act as a bridge between the organisation and the community, ensuring effective communication flow.
