Job summary

Fenway Health seeks a Community Engagement Associate to support outreach, education, and partnership strategies as an ambassador across Greater Boston. The role builds relationships with community partners, represents Fenway Health at events, and delivers culturally responsive health education to reduce barriers to care.

Reporting to the Director of Equity, Social Justice, and Community Engagement, the position requires regular travel and assists in developing and evaluating outreach plans,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community engagement, health education, health equity, and social drivers of health.
• Ability to communicate complex health information clearly and accessibly.
• 1–3 years of experience in community outreach or related fields.
• Experience delivering culturally responsive health education or presentations.
• Experience building relationships with community organizations and leaders.
• Experience coordinating outreach events, health fairs, or community programming.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements community education, outreach, and programming goals and activities.
• Represents Fenway Health at events, health fairs, schools, and partner organizations to raise awareness.
• Provides culturally responsive health education on primary care, HIV, LGBTQIA+ health, and immigrant health.
• Advocates Fenway Without Walls and informs about expanded care options like telehealth and evening/weekend hours.
• Maintains community partner relationships, tracks engagement, and coordinates events and meetings.
