Job summary

Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Walla Walla seeks a dynamic Community Outreach Coordinator / Evangelist to spearhead local mission, nurture faith, and invite unchurched families into a growing relationship with Jesus within a Christ-centered community.

The successful candidate will lead outreach initiatives, mentor families and youth, collaborate with local schools and organizations, and report to the Pastor with support from the church council.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for evangelism.
• Experience in family ministry, either as staff or volunteer, with proven outreach effectiveness.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to speak to groups of varying sizes.
• Strong leadership and communication to engage youth, parents, and volunteers.
• Self-motivated with ability to develop new programs and outreach strategies.
• Theological alignment with basic Christianity; ordination is not required.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Champion outreach initiatives to connect with unchurched families and share the hope of Jesus.
• Mentor and disciple young families and children in their faith journey.
• Network with local leaders to foster connections.
• Cultivate relationships with parents, schools, and community organizations.
• Plan and execute family events, retreats, and mission projects.
