Basic Purpose: Sooner Job Challenge is searching for a talented and professional Community Outreach Coordinator to maintain all community outreach and public relations activities. This position will also plan and coordinate field trips/service to community events for the student associates based on their chosen vocations. In addition, this position represents the program and works with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase program visibility within the surrounding community and around the state.**Essential Functions:**· Through relationships and partnerships, actively seek and schedule opportunities for student associates to represent the program at high profile community outreach/service to community events.· Develop and maintain partnerships/relationships with civic organizations, municipalities, school districts, government agencies, etc. to further develop the public image of the Sooner Job Challenge.· Plan and coordinate field trip activities based on the student associates chosen vocations that have an educational, community service, creative or recreational purpose.· Coordinate all aspects of events, community service projects, and field trips both externally and internally for the program· Create press releases and manage regular social media feeds to promote the program image.· Attend community events to further program relationships and promote the programs public image.· Write creative copy for various mediums to highlight community service projects and program activities.· Attend student associate scheduled events as required· Attend program and departmental meetings and trainings as requiredThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
