Job summary

BJC Independence Center is a community-based behavioral health organization serving adults in St. Louis.

This 40-hour per week Community Outreach Case Worker role focuses on linking clients to housing and food assistance, resources, and community supports, with daily field work and travel in the community. Training in motivational interviewing is provided, and a valid Class D (IL) or Class E (MO) license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field.
• No experience required.
• Valid driver's license Class D (IL) or Class E (MO).

Responsibilities

• Provides community support services to clients to maximize recovery and community integration.
• Completes timely documentation describing services, interventions, and outcomes.
• Contacts individuals and referral sources after missed appointments to re-engage.
• Provides mentorship and job shadowing to colleagues.
