Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an Outreach Program Associate to support Enriching Learning programming in our community. This part-time role focuses on building relationships, coordinating logistics, and fostering safe, productive learning environments for youth and families.

Candidates with ESL experience and multilingual abilities are encouraged to apply; evening/weekend availability and willingness to travel between branch locations are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year related experience is required.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and possess strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Experience with computers and customer service preferred.
• Must be willing to work on projects with varying programming and reporting requirements.
• Some evening and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining positive, authentic relationships with program participants, community members, staff, and community partners.
• Ensuring logistics of programming are appropriately prepared.
• Working to create a safe and productive learning environments.
• Communicating with parents and caregivers of youth involved in programs.
• Training and supervising volunteers during programming.
