Job summary

Duke Orthopaedics is seeking an inaugural Community Division Chief to lead and grow a large, community-based orthopaedics platform within Duke Health. The role oversees multiple community practices, expands access, and drives standardization of care while maintaining clinical engagement.

The ideal candidate brings a record of clinical excellence, leadership in team development, and strategic operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Accomplished orthopaedic leader with a track record of clinical excellence, team development, operational discipline, and growth-oriented leadership.
• Experience in high-performing community-based orthopaedics or academic health systems is preferred.
• Ability to standardize care, expand access, develop talent, and build a cohesive provider culture across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Align strategy, quality, operations, growth, and provider engagement across Duke's community orthopaedic practices.
• Expand access, standardize care models, and mentor/recruit community-based surgeons and providers.
• Balance clinical practice with leadership time to advance strategy, growth, and patient experience across sites.
