Job summary

CCMC, a community management company, seeks an experienced Community Operations Manager to oversee multiple master-planned communities, help onboard new managers, and drive essential administrative projects.

The role covers hiring, budgeting, operations, and reporting to the Board, with travel across the region to support high-functioning teams while upholding CCMC’s Integrity, Respect, Service and Community values.

Qualifications

  • Three years minimum managing a large-scale, master-planned community.
  • Strong operational background and understanding of community financials.
  • Excellent speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Leadership, organizational, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of state.
  • Proficient in Windows environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (preferred).
  • CAM license required upon hire in Florida and Georgia; others within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Working on-site as needed as a manager, or other open role, and oversee hiring, financials, operations, and managing the team.
  • Assisting SVP/VP with Manager/Team Member Onboarding.
  • Managing content in network file locations to ensure up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Assisting our largest communities as a strategic partner.
  • Performing full-cycle budget updates.
  • Analyzing and identifying issues within teams and support them with resources available and best practices.
  • Traveling to a variety of communities in assigned region to gain knowledge of high-functioning teams and lend support to others as needed.
  • Providing weekly and monthly reports and maintain regular BOD and BWU reporting.

Our Community Operations Manager is responsible for a variety of engaging duties. Whether it is covering a community as interim manager, helping to develop new managers, or delivering a variety of administrative projects, this critical role promotes CCMC’s core values.

What you’ll accomplish:
  • Working on-site as needed as a manager, or other open role, and oversee hiring, financials, operations, and managing the team

What we’re looking for:
  • Someone who aligns with our vision and values
  • Minimum of three years managing a large-scale, master-planned community
  • Robust operational background and understanding of community financials
  • Ability to successfully engage on a variety of levels, including speaking and writing
  • Effective leadership, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
  • Operate with candor and diplomatically communicate solutions and best practices
  • Ability to travel both locally frequently and out of state as needed
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, designations, or certifications in a related field (highly preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of laws and guidelines governing the operation of community associations and governing documents (highly preferred)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • CAM license required upon hire in Florida and Georgia (within 90 days of hire in all other states)

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
