Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in San Jose, CA, seeks an entry level Community Mortgage Lending Officer to drive mortgage sales and client relationships with community clients, real estate agents, and nonprofit partners in coordination with the Consumer Product Sales team.

You will consult with customers about financing needs, analyze financial information, recommend mortgage solutions, and work with processors to close loans, while upholding Citi’s compliance standards. A Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years relevant experience.
• Residential Mortgage experience required.
• 3+ years previous mortgage sales experience required.
• Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situation and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze information about financial situation and goals.
• Analyze financial information to assess loan eligibility.
• Make recommendations on lending solutions to meet objectives.
• Promote Citi's brand and products to real estate professionals and nonprofits.
• Coordinate with Processes/Underwriters to close loans.
