Alternative Wellness Services (AWS) is hiring Mental Health Technicians in Portland and Biddeford, ME.

This hands-on, community-based role works one-on-one with clients to teach daily living skills and emotional regulation, with two career paths: The Coach for beginners and The Navigator for experienced pros. Training is provided, with flexible part-time options to fit life commitments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and active MHRT/1, MHRT/1P, MHRT/C, or Provisional Certification; AWS provides training.
• Empathy with strong professional boundaries.
• Valid Maine Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass standard criminal/APS/CPS background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with clients to teach daily living skills and emotional regulation.
• Assist clients in building life skills and navigating community settings.
