Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Driver/Cook to prepare and package meals for delivery to designated program sites across Los Angeles County. When not delivering, you will assist in food preparation, kitchen sanitation, and inventory tasks.

The role is on-site, requires lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety standards. Pay is $19.72–$20.76 per hour with competitive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a delivery driver.
• California Driver’s license in good standing.
• California Food Handler certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packaged meals to remote program sites across Los Angeles County.
• Prepare, cook and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for on-site dining and delivery to remote sites.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper food storage temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance in kitchen and delivery areas.
