Job summary

MidPen Housing Corp. in Livermore, CA, is seeking a Community Manager to oversee daily operations at Chestnut Square Family and Chestnut Square Senior.

You will supervise property staff, manage fiscal operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional resident services, reporting to the Property Manager. This role emphasizes ICARE values and community partnerships, with on-site housing available and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with three years of multi-family residential management experience, or equivalent combination.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience leading staff.
• Fair Housing knowledge and FHA test readiness within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise property staff and conduct performance reviews with coaching.
• Manage rent collection, deposits, income verification, and delinquencies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance including Fair Housing, HUD, TCAC, and local laws.
• Oversee facilities maintenance and inspections for curb appeal.
• Process applications, recertifications, and leases with accurate files.
• Build partnerships with community groups and officials.
• Implement risk management and emergency procedures.
• Market units and manage turnovers within timelines.
