Sares Regis Group in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a Community Manager for The Union Flats, a 243-unit property in Union City, CA. The role focuses on daily operations, team leadership, budget and rent management.

You will drive occupancy, oversee maintenance contractors, and ensure compliance, reporting, and safety programs. The company offers a competitive compensation package and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Community Manager of 100+ units.
• Strong sales skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals; write reports and business correspondence.
• Competent with basic math, including calculations of discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area.
• Capability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Knowledge of operations software such as Outlook, Internet, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Collect rents and enforce delinquent rent procedures; ensure resident insurance compliance and screening criteria; enforce resident retention procedures; and complete weekly and monthly reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review monthly performance, prepare variance reports, and initiate annual budgets and forecasts.
• Identify potential market challenges, educate the team and regional manager on competitors and market conditions, and develop effective marketing plans.
• Oversee recurring contractor work (cleaning, painting, landscaping) by ensuring bids, insurance, lien waivers, and quality standards.
• Implement OSHA and other safety procedures, conduct routine safety meetings, and maintain up-to-date MSDS information.
• Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor to identify repairs or capital projects; manage quality of curb-appeal work; and address risk-management issues.
• Read, follow, and implement company handbooks, property policy manuals, and all governing documents.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 per year. In addition, we offer a competitive package that includes 401(k) matching, rental incentive and renewal compensation, performance bonuses, and rental discounts. Full‑time employees working 30‑40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits, as well as vacation and sick‑time accruals in accordance with law.
